Collie Idol Terms and Conditions

  1. Entry is free.
  2. Entry is for solo vocal artists only.
  3. All contestants must be 18 years and over as of the date of performance.
  4. Contestants must not be bound nor have ever been bound by a recording contract of whatever nature, nor recorded any dramatic or musical works of whatever nature.
  5. Contestants must not be bound by any contract, which will prevent them from entering the competition.
  6. Contestants must register online no later than 5 pm on the day of the heat.
  7. The order of performance will be determined by the event coordinator.
  8. Contestants must perform at least three songs across the three heats to be held Friday, 15 February; Saturday, 1 March; and Saturday, 15 March.
  9. A $250 prize will be awarded to each heat winner, along with a guaranteed place in the final. A contestant may not win more than one heat. If a contestant has already been awarded a heat winner, the next highest-scoring contestant will be awarded the prize money and place in the final.
  10. Finalists will be invited to perform a further three songs in the final to be held Saturday, 29 March 2025.
  11. A cash prize of $1000 will be awarded to the Collie Idol winner. Additional prizes may be awarded at the judge's discretion.
  12. Judging is being conducted by CSHS Anzac Tour volunteers, based on contestants' stage presence, vocal technique, and presentation. The judges' decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  13. All participants permit their name, photo and video recording to be used for any promotional activities.
  14. The organiser, event coordinator and licensee may in its absolute discretion waive or relax one or more of the above requirements after taking into consideration the contestant's circumstances and background.
  15. Contestants acknowledge and agree that the organiser, event coordinator and licensee may in its absolute discretion reject any application, or postpone, cancel, or bring forward any scheduled dates.
  16. The organiser, event coordinator and licensee shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss or damage including personal injury or death sustained by the Contestant as a result of or arising out of the exercising by the Organiser or Licensor of any right or discretion referred to herein.
  17. Contestants hereby warrant and undertake that all information supplied in the registration form is true and accurate.
  18. The terms and conditions herein contained shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Western Australia.
